With a team that brings more than 40 years of experience in handling oversized and heavy shipments – as well as a network of flexible transport connections in the upper Rhine area – we provide tailor-made solutions for your bulk, breakbulk and project cargo.
From iron and steel to grain and coal to machine parts, turbines and much more, our inland ports are equipped with the right infrastructure and superstructure to ensure a seamless management of your shipments. With our crane systems, heavy-lift cargo can be loaded/unloaded or transhipped quickly and carefully between the various transport modes or the warehouse. Furthermore, dedicated warehouse space is available for heavy-lift and bulk cargo of all types.

Rail Shunting
Connecting your shipment with ease
Ports are supporting pillars of freight traffic, but they are rarely the starting point or the final destination within a transport chain. Our rail shunting services help you position your cargo in the right place at the right time for onward connections.
In Ottmarsheim, rail shunting services are available in the port area as well to/from Bantzenheim port station. The last mile is operated directly by Swissterminal, so no organisation with a local shunting operator is required. From Bantzenheim, connections are available to France’s national rail network as well as towards Germany.
With 25 kilometres of railway network, we are able to serve a variety of local customers and industries. On the main line between Ottmarsheim and Bantzenheim, state-of-the-art, electric locomotives are used, helping lower your transport’s carbon footprint.
